#99 Scribble Scrabble Cross

The Scribble Cross was inspired by drawings my Kindergarten art students did based on the work of Cy Twombly.  They called it “scribble scrabble” and had fun making their own drawings on large sheets of black and white paper.  Scraps of these drawings made their way into the studio and became the inspiration for this piece.  There is an abundance of movement and energy and a lot of play off positive and negative space.   The color is a great balance between random and intentional.
