#90 Christmas Cross

Christmas Cross gets its name from the recycled holiday wrapping paper used to create the cross.  The remainder of the piece is composed of scraps from other collages in the series.  The pattern in the cross is repeated in the background but without the same sense of order.  The cross projects stability while everything around it appears to be in motion.  The color keeps the stripes from overpowering.
