#9 Nautical cross

This piece went through several transformations.  I wanted to work with newspaper as a background and then began to obscure it with transparent material in order to reduce the power of the print.  In the end, it was the composition of the shapes and colors that became the focus.  For reasons I cannot entirely explain, the finished piece evoked a nautical feeling for me.
