#70 fire cross

I was interested in working with the colored corrugated craft paper and seeing if I could transform it.  It had also been a while since I did an exploration of orange and blue.  The bright orange of the corrugated paper suggested fire and I began to cut it into a jagged pattern, which formed the border.  I had this great piece of striated red foil paper that was the perfect background.  The rest fell into place with the blues applied in key places. It’s both playful and forbidding.
