#7 untitled cross

This was the second piece I did using graph paper.  I wanted it to be a study of black and white and was intrigued by the palette paper splattered with interesting tints and shades of gray.  The blue grays add some dimension to the cross and the amorphous shapes create a sharp contrast to the order of the graph randomly interrupted by the areas of black.  The large circles represent black and white in their pure form. The cross is drawn on a clear overlay.
