#57 Totem cross
I had started to collect Styrofoam food trays that I had been using as paint palettes. I was fascinated by the colors and textures built up by the dried paint. Totem Cross was the first piece I created with them and I had the idea to combine them with the colored foil paper. The materials were very challenging to integrate effectively and I discovered that the color needed to be just right. In the end, I was intrigued by the object quality the finished piece had, like a totem.
